Located just 8.7 miles off the coast of the Village of Placencia, Stann Creek District, Belize, and surrounded by some of the finest permit fishing waters found anywhere, lies the tiny island known as Whipray (Whippari) Caye. This charming little island is owned and operated by renowned fly fishing guide Julian Cabral and his American wife Beverly. With warm smiles and ice cold Belikins at the ready, Julian and Beverly make it very easy to unwind and adjust to the slow rhythms of island life at this enchanting place they call home.

The permit fishing is excellent and there are few places that offer better shots at this challenging fish. Some of the permit flats are only a 5 minute boat ride away and there are several year round schools of tarpon and bonefish within 15 minutes of the island. No wonder it has been called "Paradise Surrounded by Fish" by our discerning guests!!

And if you are not yet versed in the fine art of fly fishing, you can find a comfy hammock and just do some 'island chilling'. The surrounding coral gardens, delicious meals, 360° sunrises and sunsets are guaranteed to take your breath away.
