Lola's Art is the oldest art gallery on the Placencia Peninsula. It was established in 1992 in Seine Bight Village. Through the staunch patronage of such benefactors as the Blue Crab Resort, Sunset Pointe, Steve Christensen, Lita Krohn, Robert's Grove and many others, and of course thousands of visitors to our beautiful Peninsula, it has grown from a single wall of paintings to two rooms. Lola is inspired by the beauty around her, the sea, lagoon, flora and fauna and the people. She paints every day and can be found in her gallery/workshop where she will personally tend her customers. She paints original canvases from 9 X 12 inches up to 5 feet X 7 feet, and does small miniatures on wood, driftwood, keyhangers, calabash masks, stone paperweights and more. She is also an author and has published several books, some of which are for sale in her shop. Lola will paint a special commission for you of any size and subject you'd like (within reason!) so if you have this in mind it is a good idea to see her early on in your visit. A 9 X 12- inch canvas will only take her a day or so, but bigger sizes needs more time.
