French Louie Caye is a small private island 8 miles offshore from the Village of Placencia, featuring exquisite coral gardens and a fascinating mangrove ecology with a multitude of tropical fish.

For your accommodation you have a choice of living in a simple wooden house with an equipped kitchen, all cooking utensils, stove and butane refrigerator, a small dining area, nice roofed-over veranda and a separate bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk-bed, or you can go more romantic and stay in a tent on the pristine coral sand found on the caye.

A bath house nearby offers a tiled, hot shower and toilet facilities. In any case, a watchman/cook/guide will cater to your every need. He will offer you fresh seafood, rice and beans and other local dishes. He can also guide you while snorkeling or kayaking to nearby cayes.
