Rent a Golf Cart to move up and down the 14 mile long peninsula, go bar, restaurant, or resort hopping. It is a very affordable mode of transportation.

Rental Cars are mostly used to go siteseeing off the peninsula. Go real estate hunting or simply explore the very intimate parts of Belize

Southern Belize has a list of great adventures that can be discovered with fun and ease. Great hiking, cave tubing and waterfalls can be explored in the Jaguar reserve, only one hour from Placencia. The colorful macaws can be seen in the early morning hours during the months of January to March, in the nearby village of Red Bank only one hour and thirty minutes from Placencia.

Further south Lubaan Tun and Nim Li Punit Maya ruins and the Blue Creek caves can be discovered at your own pace. Tour guides can be found at each location. Hopkins, a small Garifuna village sits on the beach only about an hour from Placencia. It’s a nice place to spend the day or even continue unto Dangriga Town, about 20 minutes further north.

Having a rental car can be useful if you already did all your diving, fishing, sailing, snorkeling and want to do something different. Clients have gone up to San Ignacio for an over night, or just to see Xunantunich, and the inland Blue Hole, which is on the Hummingbird Highway. Others have driven as far up as the Belize Zoo. The adventures are endless.
