Barefoot Beach Bar, one of the most popular local hangouts, with live local entertainment on Sunday evenings, located in the heart of the village on the beautiful Placencia Beach.

The Barefoot Beach Bar at Tipsy Tuna is Placencia’s only true beach bar. Pull up a bar stool or spread your towel on one of our beach chairs and enjoy a day on the beach at the Barefoot. This fun spot is home to famous drinks like the Belizean Long Island Ice Tea, the Category 5, the Watermelon Bliss, the Placencia Breeze and more….. so many delicious cocktails it makes Barefoot’s drink menu three times longer than the food menu. The shorter food menu does not take away from all the great things that are on it. Known for the best nachos on the peninsula, Barefoot has a wide variety of light snacks and meals including wraps, quesadillas, burritos, huge salads, burgers, tostados, salbutes and tacos. The salsa accompanying many of these dishes is fresh which makes them even yummier.

We have lots going on throughout the week. Everyday from 6 to 7 pm Barefoot hosts Happy Hour with $2.00 off all local rum drinks, daiquiris and coladas. Thursdays is filled with low key live Caribbean music with the Entertainers followed by karaoke at our sister bar the Tipsy Tuna. On Saturdays stop by for an afternoon of Horseshoes – a game that Placencians love. Sundays dance under the stars to the live sounds of Inner Vibrations – this party is always jumping and an event you can’t miss. New to the Barefoot this year is our Full Moon Parties – with $3.50 beer, $3 rum drinks, good music and a full moon the party is bound to be a blast.
